In stats I learned a lot of new material as well as things I had predicted learning. I assumed we would learn things about the probability of something happening. Which is a safe guess to make sense the course is called stats and probability. From this class I would take away understanding how to learn more difficult problems. I’m not yet sure what career I’m going to go in, but I think learning about problem solving and the probability of something will be beneficial. One of the most valuable things I have learned goes hand in hand with my takeaways from the class. I’m interested in going into some type of medical field so knowing the outcomes of studies is valuable information. The thing we did this year that was difficult for me was the information we learned in the last chapter and the certain number of probabilities based on outcomes in Chapter 6. I think overall what we learned in class I expected. The only thing I didn’t expect was all the formulas and how they related to each other in previous chapters. If you were a casino owner or a doctor statistics and probability would affect their daily life. In my daily life statistics do not really have a huge impact. The other day at work one of my co-workers kept playing rock paper scissors. When it was ⅔ I would think that there is a 50% probability of winning. If I were to take this class or a college course related to this topic I think I what I would do differently is really pay attention to fully understand how to use the formulas. I would ask the teacher more if I had a question with how to do something. I would have an open mind with what I was learning and try to enjoy the new material.
